Positive:
The price for the size of suite was a great deal! Highly recommend it. Two restaurants on the same block, 3/4 block from Retiro Park/Alcala Gate (Puerto de Alcala), 1/2 block from Banco de Espana plaza, Madrid city tour bus stops for routes 1 & 2, and regular bus stops. About 3-4 blocks from high end shopping (if you’re into that) and some very good eateries. 1 3/4 baths, full bath had a retractable clothes line (4 lines). Hand held shower with fixed height (very high-almost too high for a 5’4″ person). Clothes washer with one packet of detergent in the kitchen. Full complement of kitchen wares, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, blenders, etc. TV in each bedroom and living room. PM chocolate delivered nice touch.
Negative:
Only one small elevator with 3-4 person capacity, not air conditioned, and frequently smelled of what was in it last, e.g. dirty laundry or garbage. The air conditioner in our suite only worked in the bedrooms, making the remainder of the suite (living room, kitchen and baths) a little toasty. Would have liked sheer curtains on the windows as well as the regular to let in a little natural light yet block direct view into the bedrooms. Otherwise it was wide open or dark (without using lights) Outer shutters did not leave enough light in and our room was only about 10 feet across from the stairs windows. Bath tub was not non-slip and very narrow, but nice and deep with room for amenities.
Positive:
The location, the staff, the service and the suite were all excellent! Our suite was large and very clean and the staff were so helpful. I would definitely stay there again anytime I’m in Madrid. What a great hotel!

My only complaint was that only two people could take a shower in a row before the hot water ran out.

Excellent hotel and service. Staff extremely kind. Accommodations are adequated for a couple with children of 18 and 11. Definitely will recommend it.
