Cat’s Hostel is in central Madrid, just 500 ft from the lively Santa Ana Square. It has an underground bar and organizes trips to check out Madrid’s nightlife.
The dormitories at the Cat’s are set around a lovely courtyard with an 18th-century Moorish-style fountain. Every single one contains hardwood floors, individual lockers and a shared bathroom.
The guesthouse serves a day-to-day breakfast in the cafe, and there are vending machines for sandwiches and pastries. Parties take place in the basement bar.
There is a laundry room with coin-operated machines, as properly as an iron. The bar attributes computers which you can use for free of charge.
You can walk from Cat’s Hostel to the famous Puerta del Sol Square in just 5 minutes. San Sebastián Church is just 165 ft from the guesthouse, and Antón Martín Metro Station is 650 ft away.

I like mostly everything! Staff is supportive, building is historical and enormously beautiful! Location is absolutely great! The only thing that was not so comfortable is that it is little bit cold when you are getting out of the shower.

Excellent staff members, great energy and the location is one of the biggest advantage! The rooms are clean enough, is safe and the lounge area is beautiful! The bar is another attraction…before leaving for your night out you can start to have fun right there!!!! They offer walking tours everyday at 11am and is free! If you are looking for value for money…I Recommend!!!!

I liked the location of Cat’s Hostel. It is located only a minute away from a metro stop, and is in the middle of Madrid’s Centro.

Hmmm, where do I start. The bedrooms were what you can typically expect of any hostel, but with subpar sheets/comforters. They did come with lockers, which was nice, but the locks on the lockers/doors never worked and were a total pain in the ass. You had this strange sensor thing that functioned as your key and you’d have to slap the censor lock on the door/locker like 5 million times in order for it to work. Also, the showers/toilets were disgusting, cramped, and not clean. The showers were probably the most ghetto thing I’ve had to use in my life – I also lived in Argentina for 5 months where I showered over a toilet in a bathroom that would flood every time I wanted to get squeaky clean — and there was no hot water there, either… Sooo yeah. I’d say unless you are desperate don’t stay here. Also there were a lot of annoying people in the hostel that were obnoxiously loud at all hours. I mean, hey, I like to party, too, but let’s be real – you don’t need to be screaming all night. Go out to a club, please.

It’s clean, organized and with lots of facilities: internet all the time; good breakfast; they print paper (like boarding pass for check-in) for free; location in the centre, near all touristic points; free touristic tour in the centre; good locker and good beds.
Negative:
The problem is the shower: there’s no place to put your stuff, like soap and shampoo, you have to put everything in the floor, what is not comfortable. Also, to make the shower work you have to press the button all the time, this is disturbing, not cool. The water was too hot, and I didn’t have how to control it.

Excellent position in the city, all the major monuments and attractions are reacheable by walking. If you choose this hostel, you can seriously consider to avoid to buy pubblic transport tickets.

During my stay in Cat’s hostel there were extensive works at the structures like the dome and the inner courtyard. These works were not mentioned on the website at the time of my booking. These works were very annoying, since they brought about a lot of dust in the rooms, corridors and bathrooms and a lot of noise that prevented you from sleeping in the morning

I was bitten by bedbugs at this hostel. My neck and shoulders are full of red bites now. The room in which I slept had window with a patio view only. But the patio was completely in reconstruction. So meter from a window there there scaffolding. The hostel is close to the center and is cheap, but it is not worth this money.

Ostello che risiede in pratica vicino a tutti I luoghi importanti da visitare anche a piedi, per gli spostamenti più lunghi o per arrivare dall’aeroporto la fermata metro è neanche a 200m. Staff molto disponibile, servizio Wi-Fi gratuito con inoltre la possibilità di collegarsi ad internet tramite una postazione di ben 4 pc a disposizione. Secondo il Mio modesto gusto personale, ho trovato molto carina la sala che collega le varie stanze, con le vetrate sul soffitto e la fontana al centro, con I divanetti/pouff tutt’attorno che Ti permettono di interagire e conoscersi con gli altri Clienti, così come la sala sotto il Bar che la sera organizza pseudo serate a suon di musica, molto utile in caso di brutto tempo.

A localizaçao era excelente, facil para ir a todos os lugares inclusive a estaçao de trem.

O banheiro nao tinha nenhum apoio para colocar shampoo e sabonete, as roupas ficavam em um varal muito alto e era impossivel lavar a cabeça e apertar a valvula para ligar o chuveiro. Limpeza deixou a desejar.

O sistema da chave para abrir a porta do quarto e muito chato e foi necessário chamar o funcionário algumas vezes para ajudar. O café da manha e ruim se comparado aos outros albergues que fiquei na Europa.
